In an interview with the British website www.meettheboss.tv, Virgin Galactic President Will Whitehorn discusses the environment, civilization's needs and how both are taken into account in various Virgin Group transportation activities, including suborbital space tourism.

"The fact that we’re building this system to use in space, which could be applied to traveling around the planet in the future, again subject to future regulatory approval. The fact that we are at the absolute cutting, this is the cutting edge of the use of carbon composites, which if they were used in all aircraft – you know, if all the new Boeings and Airbus we’re entirely carbon composite like that thing is, they’d be using 60 percent less fuel. This is so significant."
